Paverpol
Pam & Lori's Pieces
This photo was taken from another workshop where 2 friends, Pam & Lori,
surprised themselves with their beautiful pieces.
I love encouraging people to see their potential with the talent that they try to tell me
they 'don't' have.
Ladies have often said how relaxing they find working with Paverpol and it is exciting
when they use the 'Right side' if there brain.
I love both Pam & Lori's use of a second colour . Pam chose to make the Standing Lady
while Lori mad

Christine's Standing
This was a Standing Lady made by a very dear friend, Christine, in a workshop I held.
I love workshops because everyone sees something different in the way they
'stand' their piece; or the material falls; or what accesories they chose to put
on their piece.
This is a shot of Christine putting last minute touches to her beautiful lady.
Well done Christine - you are an inspiration.

Dancing Lady
With the use of Transparent Paverpol and a beautiful old lacey tablecloth
I created a lovely dress and headpiece for this 'Dancing Lady'.
It was fun deciding which piece of material to use and if I should put a shawl
on her or not, finally deciding less was best.

Relaxing with a book
Just as I love to read it was easy to decide what this young lady was going to do.
Lounging back in a 'semi-circle' of polystyrene stuck together with Paverpol for a solid base
I first painted the base & circle with Paverpol black then sponged Paverpol Bronze over the black which has given a 'stone' effect.
For the statue I used Bronze for the body & hair and used Bamboo Green for the clothing.
The book is cardboard folded in half and covered with Pavercotton in Stone Red.
I felt very relaxed as I did this statue.

Nomad Duo
It is so exciting to use 2 colours together instead of using just one colour.
I used Paverpol Black for the faces & bodies of these Nomads
For the larger Nomad my contrast colour was Marine Blue - another favourite of mine
For the smaller Nomad I chose Bamboo Green for the contrast - another colour I enjoyed to use.
It is fun to do 2 Nomads together and these guys will end up in my garden.

Lady with circle
I was shown an advert from Australia with instructions for doing a 'Standing Lady'
and decided to give it a go.
I am really pleased with this first effort and she will be a delight to teach., although I have a few ideas to change her a little. I used Paverpol Black for the body, arms and head.
The colour I used for the dress and scarf was Paverpol Violet.
I absolutely LOVE this colour.
Chicks-on-sticks
'Chick-on-a-stick' This is such a fun project and a really good place to start using Paverpol.
These gals can happily be left outside because Paverpol is weatherproof and should not change in
any way due to weather - either from sunlight or the weather itself.
As you can see I have loaded a few different colour versions af these gals. I think my favourite is the black lady with her beautiful red outfit and white roses as accent.
When doing 2 colours like this you have to let the first dry completely before continuing to add a second colour.
To do this project it is $35 - to buy ready-made $35. So much fun to make yourself.
Leave her in a potplant or in your garden

Bronze Mask
Paverpol Mask
This was such a fun mask to make and only takes about 3 hours all up.
They can be made in different colours and highlighted with Metallic paint.
My mask was done using Paverpol Bronze
Great fun to do with a group as every mask has a different look - even if making for orders they never look exactly the same.
Workshops available.

Standing Lady
The weekend of 19/20 May 2012 I spent time with Gwen Nicholson who is the Paverpo distributor & tutor for NZ .
This sculpture was the first we made.

Nomad Figurine
This piece is a study using stockingnet fabric and placing it in such a way to fall casually in layers.
I used Australian Paverpol colour in green for this.

Shelf Sitter Figurine
This is a smaller figurine which was fun to do as she/he can be put into a variety of stances.
It can be made as a child or an adult figurine.
The colour I used for this piece was Denim Blue

Standing Lady
This figurine shows how the draping of fabric changes the original framework.
I have used Australian Paverpol Colour Red which has dried to a beautiful melon shade.

Mask on Canvas 1
Using Paverpol and placing the pieces of coated fabric, lace and/or muslin on the canvas around a mask gives the most amazing finish. Like the fabric on the standing/ sitting figures it can be manipulated into various positions and lifted to give relief in the finished picture. I love to do these as they are quite quick and very relaxing.
There are many colour choices in the Paverpol colours and matched with Jo Sonja Background colours give wonderful choices to enhance any room.
I finish these off with highlights of Jo Sonja Iridescent paints to enhance to folds in the fabric. I wait a couple of days until they are completely dry before doing this dry brushing technique.
This piece was done using Jo Sonja Background paint Chesnut and Paverpol Bronze.

Mask on Canvas 2
Just had to share this piece .... my Grandaughter, Jorja, who is 5 and 3/4yrs old did this piece under guidance, for her Mum's b/day. I treated the material with Paverpol Transparent to which I had added Paverpol Marine Blue powder to. Jorja placed the mask onto the canvas using Paverpol painted to the back of it to hold it in place. I had already prepared the canvas for her using Jo Sonja Harbour Blue Background colour. I handed her the treated fabric and lace as she requested and she placed them onto the canvas. I was amazed at how well she did - if Jorja can do this - anyone can do this.
I don't think I would like to run a class for children but Jorja and I had a fun time and she did a wonderful piece that I know her Mum will treasure.
